The CB Team has just made GroupJive 1.8 beta 1 publically available on our brand new Joomlapolis forge site!
This first beta release should not be used on production sites. We have released this to the public to assist us in identifying bugs and issues in order to reach stability. We have also created a forum area on Joomlapolis for GroupJive, so feel free to post your issues and requests. Your assistance is kindly requested.
The CB Team would like to thank Kyle (aka krileon) and Jamie (aka Rapunzl) for their efforts to make this happen as well as all previous GroupJive contributers and developers.

CB Team has just issued a security advisory regarding obsolete CB versions 1.1 (released 2 years ago) and prior. A critical vunerability has been detected and all CB 1.1 websites are potentially at risk and should be updated as soon as possible. Please download CB 1.2.1 and upgrade your CB 1.0 and 1.1 websites now! Also please make sure your sites are working off PHP version 5. PHP version 4 is also a security risk.
Once again - ALL CB 1.1 (and prior) websites must be upgraded to CB 1.2.1 now!
New CB 1.2.x code (released since 6 months publically, obssoleting CB 1.1) does not have that issue.

The CB Team is proud to announce the public release of Community Builder 1.2.1 Besides fixing various issues identified in CB 1.2, this CB release has totally restructured its integration with the Joomla (1.0 series) native forum Kunena 1.0.10 (also released today).
The CB and Kunena teams have been in close collaboration to make this exciting new integration possible. We believe that this cooperation of these two opensource extension teams has created a very powerful combination allowing CB fields to be displayed in the forum sidebar location. Website administrators can totally alter the appearance and content of the forum sidebar adding HTML based content personalized with CB field values taken from the CB user profile of the forum poster. As CB (as of version 1.2) is Joomla native (both 1.0 and 1.5 series) and Kunena has reaffirmed its commitment to provide a Joomla 1.5 native version, we believe that the co-existence of these two opensource extensions will bring great value to both communities.
CB 1.2 sites are urged to upgrade to CB 1.2.1 and take advantage of this remarkable integration.
The CB Team would like to thank the Kunena team for its collaboration during this joint development period and at the same time request both communities to support these projects (by becoming CB documentation subscribers and/or donating).

After less than 3 weeks from the release of CBSubsTM the CB Team is releasing version 1.0.1 a maintenance release with a few features. All identified issues have been corrected. Changes have been made to the CB Field/Tab Protect integration plugin, to the VirtueMart integration plugin (shopper groups now supported) and also to the Folder Protect integration plugin (fixed).
There is also a new documentation package (now over 240 pages) with many use cases to help people better understand the truly remarkable power of this system.
