The CB Team has just released version 1.1 of the CB Contacts component. This component is based on the Mambo and Joomla Contact components but has been altered to integrate with Community Builder version 1.1 and improve its usability. The new component can be used instead of the Joomla or Mambo core contact component. It has been tested on Joomla 1.0.X series, Joomla 1.5 RC2 and Mambo 4.5.5/4.6.2. CB 1.1 is required for the new CB Contacts 1.1 component. |

The J! Team has just released RC2 of its 1.5 version – just in time for Joomla’s second birthday! Detailed information is available on Joomla dot org. The CB Team and the CB test-team has been helping out during this last mile (as the CB community has done with previous Joomla releases) to identify problems and even propose fixes. While tests are executed against many functional areas of the available builds, the CB test team is focused in identifying compatibility issues with the latest CB suite (i.e. CB 1.1.0).
The CB Team will evaluate this release and identify any compatibility issues between CB 1.1.0 and Joomla 1.5 RC2. Please subscribe to the forum discussion below to stay informed regarding such compatibility issues.
The CB Team wishes Joomla a happy second birthday!

As seasoned Joomlapolitans are probably already aware, our “city” has recently been given a new paintjob. Yes, we are talking about a brand new template for our website. The template was constructed by Jacob with the continuous scrutiny of Beat and me (Nick, aka Nant). The CB Team, in an effort to inform (and maybe educate) the Joomlapolis community regarding the construction process related with this template project, and in parallel thank Jacob for his generous contribution, has written this article in the form of a question and answer interview session.
I (Nick, aka Nant) will play the role of the (stupid) reporter. Jacob and Beat can be themselves. Here is goes … |

Yes, after almost two years Joomlapolis was about due for a facelift. The CB Team has been working with Jacob (who also created the previous Joomlapolis site template) to create this new crispy looking template for our site. This is just the first of many planned steps the CB Team has been preparing over the past months. We will be preparing a dedicated article about the new template and the nice work Jacob has put into it. We will also be announcing the renewed sponsorship of our Web hoster Kreativmedia (here) for one more year - we just recently hit the 400 days uptime mark on our dedicated server! We have been working on CB 1.1 (released 2 weeks ago) and since then both Beat and myself have answered a couple of hundred forums posts (each of us) related with community issues around CB 1.1 and its coexistence with Joomla or Mambo CMS installations. |
