Hi mikko,
I stumbled upon this thread while I was looking for a solution for my mamblog plugin issue.

Would your new templating plugin, by any chance, be capable of showing blog entries in the normal blog layout and not as a list?

No. You would need to modify the blog plugin for this.

Either in Advanced Profile Control or as an add on to it.
