I just uploaded a plugin that modifies all selects and multiselects to include new item "other". When this item is selected, the browser prompts for a new value which is inserted in the field values and field value moderation database.
This plugin, as all the others that I have written, has only been tested with latest FF, so it is considered beta and is meant for testing only.

List Tab and Extended Select plugins should work fine with mozilla and firefox. Conditions has a few bugs still.

New version of Extended Selects released.
Fixed:
*administrator can choose which selects to extend
*works also with registration
*no need for having extended selects tab anymore
CB 1.0 stable did not include some plugin api enhancements that I had hoped. If you want to use this plugin, your CB needs to be patched with a diff file that is included in the zip-file.

The plugin has been tested with only the latest firefox. You can help by testing additional browsers and reporting bugs here http://www.joomlapolis.com/component/option,com_joomlaboard/Itemid,38/func,view/catid,13/id,14123.

Changes:
-parameter to turn moderation of new fields on and off
-changes to bypass cb 1.0.2 security enhancements
-works now with user registration and user edit
-a couple of small optimizations
You need to do a small hack to your CB files to get this plugin working (if someone figures a way to do this without, please let me know) See instructions in the readme inside the zip file.
These same instructions for applying a patch also to conditions plugin.
