As far as I recall, you copy the data from the csv file, not the sql file. The sql is just for backup purposes in case something goes wrong.

Hi,

I am planning to use CB since i have a large set of users (18,000) and would like to import the users in bulk. The CB needs the joomla login to be disabled. But if i use your import component how does that sync with the joomla site users. Or is it enough i have only CB users for my site?

Could you enlighten me a bit on this one?

Regards

Hi

Since my previous posts, a new extension became available for importing users. See http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,2613/Itemid,35/

To be clear, CB syncronises users with Joomla's main user table. Every time someone registers using CB, they get added to the Joomla list as well.

If you use the importer, it will probably add the users to the Joomla table as well.

If not, CB comes with a tool that very simply and quickly syncronises the tables, so you don't need to worry.

Brendon

We would like to know if anyone has built an API or Automated way to import users. We have an corporate business system which we initally log the same data as CB would require.

If anyone has integrated this with any other systems please advise
