Hi I am new to joomla and want to have CB installed. I am afraid I am lost. Where might I go to get help and or where would I go to find someone who might be willing to install it for me?

the article "What is Community Builder" it lists some of the features it has:
What is this Joomla/Mambo Community Builder?
Difficult to really produce a concise definition, but its all of the following:
* A Joomla/Mambo component and 3 collaborating core modules * An environment for producing and maintaining online communities on Joomla/Mambo driven sites * A system that provides user profile capabilities for Joomla/Mambo sites * A different registration/login process for Joomla/Mambo sites (supports 4 different workflows) * An environment that enables Mambo/Joomla site administrators to create user profiles that capture extra information from users (with the creation of new fields) that can be presented and organized in tabs (again defined by the administrator) * A framework for other Joomla/Mambo components to integrate with user profiles
I could really go on ... but I think you are starting to get the picture. You can see a lot of the Community Builder capabilities by visiting your own profile on this site!
My question refers to part that states "A different registration/login process for Joomla/Mambo sites". If this is an added component within an existing web site does the user need to login twice (2 times) to access the CB component on the front-end? Basically a member based site that users log in to see their profile and status (for example) and they want to view the Community Builder part of it, do they have to log in again?

No, they don't have to login twice. CB replaces the Joomla login and profiles. Thats why you have to unpublish mod_login and to install mod_cblogin. It is recommended to turn off Joomla registration in the backend and force CB registration in CB settings.

Below is my testimonial, if you are really having trouble PM me I can try to help you through it, and don't mind doing it for you if this is too hard (though it shouldn't be too difficult to get you through the process);
CB is a fantastic addition to the Joomla! CMS.
For those who are not users, I can say that CB can do a lot more than you might think from the descriptions (and from the statements made by rivals). CB is more than just extra fields for your profiles, it has a vast plugin database of free and commercial add-ons that can quite literally do everything you want with your profiles. There is a vibrant community of people who are willing to invest thier time and effort into coding these free and commercial plugins, and it is not too hard to have a go yourself (I have dabbled with some code myself and find it quite enjoyable). The profiles on my site have user feeds, pokes, interactive games, karma, photo albums, file storage, user information, blog and forum post records, arcade scores, wall feature and are fully customisable in terms of colours and backgrounds. All this can be organised however I see fit (which looks quite ood if you ask me ).
For those who are more experienced; I have tried JomSocial, which is ok, but not nearly as good as CB as it stands, it looks plain and does not do nearly as much, though does have instant update features (ajax) on all its features, which is to its credit, (I shall not be switching over as ajax is being introduced to most CB plugins anyway).
Joomunity was a pain, I couldn't even get it to work.
I am happy to try anything (and will certainly keep my eye on the development of the above and keep trying them on development sites), any suggestions are most welcome. However, CB is what has enabled me to 'blossom' in the Joomla! community area and allows for great amounts of experimentation (and is completely free and open source), and deserves a great deal of respect and admiration. A big thank you to the team from me! I for one would wholeheartedly recomend anyone who fancies 'playing' with Joomla! to have a go with CB and see just how much you can do!
Best wishes to all,
NuMoon
