Hello,

I just found this thread. Ive read through it, but is the htaccess file the only thing that controls this ? Otherwise, where do I begin setting up users to have their own page that is accessible via a url such as www.someurl.com/user123 ?

Help, how do I get started using this feature ? I need to give users 2 or 3 pages that the public can get to via some url such as www.someurl.com/user123

Also, when a user goes away, how can automate the removal of all the content they uploaded (pictures, txt, etc)?

what happens when a sneaky user registers with the name of a folder in the joomla install root?

for example they register with the username "components"

will the user go to the components/index.html or their cb profile?

It doesn't work for me any more, because I can view the profiles only with ID of the user, not with his username!

did any of you ever tried UHP2 component? its probably what you'll want.

It needs some tweaking but i'm sure trail can do the trick! I've seen his work...

Nice construction.
But does it also works for other components like :
LMTG_MYHOMEPAGES ?

See release notes for this component, you can find it here
http://familie.sytes.net/Amrit/www/Release_notes_v1_2.pdf
I want to make this virtual domain (Site B*)a hosting domain for other users with other previliges.
For example: when someone creates an account on my main domain (Site A* My Joomla CMS), it will generate his usermap on the other domain (Site B*).
For security reason, directbrowsing is turn off on Site A.
Can this be done??

What i'v done to generate the usermaps on my site B domain.
I've changed some lines in to $mosConfig_absolute_path2
The next thing i did, edit the configuration.php with
$mosConfig_absolute_path2 and changed the domainnaam/path to Site B.
It could be more easy, but i don't know HOW!
Please help.
thx

Amrit
