that picture of the dog (when you follow the tester link) is HILARIOUS! Wow. A little jealous, perhaps?

Hey there, I tried to load in my htaccess page in its entirety so I could have someone help me out with this. I keep getting a 404 error, no matter what I do. I added the stuff that trail told me to add. I can not get my users to have a page at:
mysite.com/user

I am using Joomla 1.0. In the htaccess page in the 3rd party section I added:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^([^/]+)/?$ index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=userProfile&user='$1' [L]

I keep gettign 404 errors. Someone please help me.

Hey DJTrail!

i really like your Method for made it possible to use profile urls, because i dont use the seo service..

one problem i still have is:

when i use www.domain.com/username
i still see the modules that i only have setted to be shown on the startpage.

when i use http://www.domain.com/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=userProfile&user='username' it's ok - the modules are not shown..

what can i do?
