Christiaan, I know that SMF has been integrated into Joomla! now. The operative phrase in my earlier post was "easily integrated". Of course it can be done. Practically anything can be done with enough time. I'm just warning you that I don't think an SMF integration with GroupJive will happen anytime soon.
To invite through e-mail, just type in the username of the person to be invited into the invitation field, the e-mail address will be pulled from the database. Or do you mean that you want to invite people who are not members of your site?
Is this what you had in mind for a bulletin module?

Ok, so if there is in the future an editor I think I dont need a integration with SMF, thanks for your explaination!
I would like to invite people who are not a member of my site!
The plugin is working great! Nice job!!
You can see it working on my site on the right, its called "tochtenplanning" (users / mountaineers can plan their trips together)
Only the date is wrong I think: (1970-01-01 01:00)

About inviting non-members, since you have to be registered on the site to be a member of a group, the invitation cannot contain a "click here to become member"-link, but has to be an informative message. Is that what you want?
Strange about the date in the module, it works for me. What MySQL version are you running?

Hi,
The idea is that groupmembers can invite nongroup members by e-mail (yes a informative message) with the possibility to:
write their personal invite invite them to the group where he/she is in tell them that you first have to register to join the group
I am running on mysql 5.0, strange because my other dates are displayed correct (news messages)

So basically an integrated version of com_recommend. Okay.
MySQL 5, that's what I've got. Well, I'll rewrite and see what I come up with.

Christiaan, I just looked at your site and realized that you don't get any bulletin posting times at all, so the problem isn't in the module but in the component.
