Hello chuck,
Your profiles XTD concept is great..we have successfully aplied it to one of the site i am working on. ON thing is causing a problem though..I want to know if its a known issue/has any workaround.
Since doing everything told by you in that post ..
i cannot edit /create a user from cb user admin. When i try to i get all the forms ok..but they wont get saved...
Any idea why that might be happening?

parth,
well, i haven't tried it. But there shouldn't be a problem. We only changed the one function viewProfile.
1. Has anyone else exprienced this (please help)
2. If you restore the backed up files, does it still not work?
3. You might want to have a look at the function.
4. If you would like me to look at it further, I can do tech support (send me a PM).

will try restoring & check ..i hadnt tried it actually as i wanted to know if this was a known problem...

Hello Chuck i want to display some stuff when the user sees his own profile ( this is to distinguish own profile view from what others wud see it like)
Eg i'd like to show the number of messages received on the profile page when user sees his own profile..
How can i do that. How is the If function exactly written to archive this?
