Hi,

I just read that this plugin will be Ioncube.
I had problems with Ioncube on several servers so,
unfortunately I will not buy this plugin in the futur and I will continue with AEC.

sorry

Goodevening,

Just read some of the requirements and i see that Ioncube is needed. ( didnt know what that was !).

Now i do know i was wondering if for CB Subscription one only needs the free Loaders for the Ioncube file or the Ioncube PHP encoder6.5 ?

Sorry i am in the dark here

Greetings

Blaauw

You'll only need the free loaders, the only reason you'd want the encoder is if you were a developer (or a reverse engineering hacker ).

Best of luck to you; I've always had problems with IonCube which is why I've always stayed far away from anything that was encoded with it. Seems to not work on 1and1.com and they don't offer support for it. (Pls correct me if you can prove me wrong - I'd be anxious to test this...)

So sad to see after waiting all this time that it was for naught. Like the other user commented, this was a deal breaker for me and it's actually making me rethink my renewal of the subscription as well.

I guess it's back to AEC if I have any future CB subscription sites. No encoding, no nonsense and it's out there and working already.

@lenamtl and @rpitera:

of course this is your choice.

currently the plugin is being tested on half a dozen different hosts without any ioncube related problems.

i also prefer unencoded stuff, but as it was in your case this time it is the developer's choice

@rest of thread subscribers:

the tests are progressing very nicely and I feel that the testers are very excited with the functionality, the generic design, the good shape (no severe problems encountered yet), the many possibilities that this "encoded" plugin demonstrates.

back to testing ...

Thats right, you need only the right freeloader files for your Server and can upload them with ftp.
It took me only 5 Minutes to let it run on my sites.

The trick is, that you have to chose the right Server OS Version. http://www.ioncube.com/loaders.php
A testfile is included within the packadge so you can test it easily by your own - just read the readme!
By the way, why should a hoster give support for third party applications? Never heard of that

Why ?
make a test environment, test it. thats all.

WHO SAID THIS ???
The message was, the plug is ready for beta testing!!!

What the hell have a installation requirement, what you are to anxious to test for (your words), to do with your subscription for Joomlapolis, which is in fact a donation for the Community Builder

What is the reason for that early decision?
You can´t have an idea about the powerfull plug which you have not seen yet.

rpitera wrote:

Could you please explain the pointed out nonsens in detail, please?

rpitera wrote:

Ah, i understand. You are still working on a old Mambo version with an old Community builder version.

You´ll never use the upcoming community builder 1.2 or the new Joomla 1.5 - because they are NOT out and working????

Sorry, but from my point of view - you are not discussion about facts...
sunny regards from Germany
