i have the same problem when installing mod_cblogin it doesn't recognize XML file but i do have enabled php on the config on my site

I got the same message when in used Joomla 1.5's install module to upload/install cb_expert_file_only.tar.

Do I need these files?

This is still an issue for web hostings with safe mode off and cb 1.1 and J 1.5.1 stable.

You could install plug-ins for J 1.5 without problem but not for CB 1.1......

Is there not a solution for this so you can install plug-ins on web hosting with safe mode?

I'm also having the same problem when trying to install most CB plugins I have downloaded off of this website.

CB plugins are CB plugins.

They must be installed via the CB plugin management backend.
