Heck I have a client using an older version than that and it still works fine. And at the time, there was only 1 full time dev and 1 assistant. AEC continues to grow and develop, but it just seems like CB is slowly stagnating.
This is a concern for us paying subscribers when there are new community apps appearing, and talk of a CB killer looming about...just like JoomlaBoard was rewritten and then assimilated by FireBoard, maybe that's going to be CB's future?

Project is far from dead or stagnating !
But as you said, as it's late, we are doing our best so it impresses you with a professional solution, which delayed it a bit further.
Watch-out for the upcoming beta and release, this year !
Regarding CB, there is also development which is on the way for the next 2 releases, a medium one, and next major one. Also some nice new features coming.

Well, given that there are less than 20 days left 'this year', I will certainly wait it out... 
(But you can understand my skepticism a bit...here's to hoping I am proved wrong!)

Yeaah - a second Edition of Community Builder with more features!  Cool!
CB Team go on like that - GO CB GOO!
Ideas:
- Alphabetical sorting of userlist above paging
- more flexibility on the Profilesites
- Avatarupload on Registrationpage
- flexiblbe arrangement of fields on Registrationpage, like ordering, 3 steps registration in tabs...
- crop images with javascript on a fixed size before Avatarupload
(for this point I have written a script - i can send it to you to make it stable and not a hack for the next version)
- search Module for fields selected in Backend
(Agesearch, User with Picute, Postalcode, Gender ...)
- Profilerating
- oh deear I have so much ideas but only one life ...

Hey Mikko,
at first I like your plugins very much - but I can´t get them to work. For example c... tabs, that would be the solution for the registration page.
Well alphabetical sorting... actually it is only possible with a hack.
Avatarupload is not possible at the moment on register page... with CBE it is - but I hate this thing. 
Crop Images in a fixed size before uploading is definitely not possible in Joomla! Community Builder at the moment.
Search Module... I have written a module on my own - it is also not availible for the rest.
Profilerating, yes there is a comp. like cbrating... BUT...  also a hack needet to fit the thing. It´s like a first aid kit... but not a stable integrated thing - whitch is really cool with a community with 14900 Users...
So Mikko, what now... at the moment we need to hack all this things.
