does your GD installation have freetype libraries?
this is a prerequisite.
well, if it didn't ... would captcha work for the other components and modules in my site? because it is working ...

no. different implementation. there are many ways to implement similar functionality. jomcomment implementation is different - this plugin NEEDS freetype libraries activated along with GD.
Been confirmed by others that when they have freetype enabled all works ok. Nick A. Does anyone have any insight into my below post?
Also, are there any good how tos on installing GD w/ FreeType?
D.
djsdjs wrote: I use CentOS and yum shows GD 2.0 installed:
gd.i386 2.0.28-4 installed
But CB says it is not detected.
How do I resolve this?
Do I need to resolve it, or will CB still be able to use it even if the configuration screen does not show it as detected?

HI Folks,
thanks for great plug in. I hope my question wont be too much "off topic". I think that password retrieval function on Joomla is not very well build from user point of view. I had many members on my website who forget password and username + in many cases, people have more than one email address and they forget which one they registered. So I would like to see some extension to handle Password Reminder function that the user would have to input only one variable eg. email or username along with captcha image.
I have been searching for this solution for many days but it seems that everybody is happy with what is in build in Joomla.
Could this be implemented into this plug in?
