Not sure, but I think there is a bug.
No matter what settings I use in the backend, I can't get the tab to display if a user (gid 18) visits his or her own profile (or another registered user's profile for that matter).
I can only get the tab to display if I log in as the super-administrator (uid 62, gid 25).
Anybody else having this problem?

If I want to use the Last Profile Visitor, How do I pay and what's the cost? I am unable to find that info. I just download the plugin, installed it and is trying to activate it but no luck yet.

Awww its a 'free' plugin as money is concerned
You just have to 'pay' me due karma 
That means you need to hit the 'thumbs up' 'karma button' for me (in this post for instance) at least once.

Remember that if a profile has no visit, the tab will not showup.
Click on a user profile and if the Last Visitor tab is not there, refresh the page and see if it appears.
