i would say either you dont have the shoutbox component installed (smo ahax or ajax shoutbox)
i am unfamiliar with db error codes, but the only error would be if there is not a shoutbox db table

Kay, so I really like this... But after reading the entire thread I am a little confused,
  ...
Steve, the way I get it is that I could use either of the 2 shout box's??
I prefer the smo_ajax_shoutbox, so what is the installation process, and which modules are first???
I know it is a little stupid question, but I want to get it right first time, and the thread scares me a little, when I read the Pros, like you are having a few problems...
Here is my installation plan,
1. com_smo_ajax_shoutbox
2. mod_smo_ajax_shoutbox
Config and Test...
3. plug_shoutbox_announcer
4. bot_shoutbox_announcer
5. fireboard_annoucner_hack
Config and Test...
I hope I've got the latest versions...

you cant run the bot and the cb pluing side by side
the bot is only for sites without cb
new versions are going to come out soon with a switch for risp or smo shoutbox... the currently available version only has smo support...

Love this plugin! I was just wondering if there's any plans to integrate CB Profile Book and CB Gallery Plugin (Nant's)? I'd really like to be able to announce that activity.
