Ohhh, I know it quite well.
Actually, i have even $ponsor€d some gpl'd custom development 2 months ago 
While waiting for CB to be released i might give AEC another try.
How weill does AEC integrate with your APC without using JACL?
My aim is to have subscription plans assigned to certain profile types... and i really would not want to bring JACL into the miz.
It patches too many files.

You do not need JACL is not nescessary to integrate AEC and APC.

A "datasheet" and other information materials will come soon as well. We are working on a lot of new stuff which is comming free to joomlapolis, along with the commercial paid subscriptions cb plugin

i would really like to use the official CB scription plugin but i have a deadline to meet - im going to try out the AEC version as pointed out by Mikko, FYI they have just released a new version! It appears to be availably publically on July 30th...
