There are two different methods of reordering, working completely differently:
1) by changing numbers
2) by clicking the up/down arrows
Are both buggy ?

Beat,
I can give you superadmin access to my backend..it's a client's site, can't list it publically...I'm in it now...just saving fields and watching them go 'every which way but correctly...'
where can I send you credentials? PM or an e-mail?
EDIT - ok, for some reason arrow sorting is working...
but numeric reordering then hitting save... - nope, completely randomized...

For me the number ordering is the only problem...
arrows up down appear to work just fine...

For old fields, arrow redording works — but here's the interesting thing. For new fields (even on the same tab) there are no arrows!

- Reordering with arrows is ok for old fields (one by one)
- new fields = no arrows
- reordering with numbers is not running
