Such demands, and not even from a DOC SUBSCRIBER.

I have never had Community Builder installed. Iam a 1.5 Joomla newbie. I downloaded the CB 1.1 Legacy and it failed so I chose to wait. I too am impatient and I agree that it would be nice to have more information. I have a site that I am hoping to use CB on and I am marking time.
From what I see CB is very popular and very function rich and I sure want it to work on first install. I too want it now but I want known bugs fixed before a release is made. A note that said it will not be done any sooner than [date] would be helpful since coming back to the forum every time there is a post actually adds to the frustration of waiting.
It seems to me that Joomla is going to emerge as the big winner in the CMS battles other than for just plain bloggers which would be happier with WorddPress for now until a real blog suite is available for Joomla. CB is a big part of this success as I see it. New code never means happiness for users. 1.5 is new and 1.2 of CB is so new it isn't even here yet.
I would like CB and 1.5.x of Joomla to be as successful as possible. The fact is this 1.2 is as important to many as would be a piece of commercial software, yet it will be free to the public from the sweat of these developers. I'd like there to be a way that more $$$ can be brought in to fund such important projects. Though the documentation thing is a bit chicanerous, I don't have any other good ideas. Perhaps after three months of use, we should have to pay for support or we should have to pay something to use the forum for the right to communicate. This is a very important piece of the Joomla pie. Perhaps a great developer out there needs to build a thermometer like they have for United Way so that those willing to give have an idea on what the goal is and the thermometer changes as the user community simply donates to the cause - no gimmicks.
I am tickled that this fine product is coming for a new CMS - 1.5 in native mode. I wish it was here and I wish there was a better way to assure its sustenance. It's going to be big as is Joomla and that is ginormous... Thank you and the best to all. Tarbania

Well, Beat and I have been working full time on CB 1.2 (and supporting the forums as much as possible) and we try and give short progress reports.
We currently have our test team banging away on CB 1.2 beta 6. All identified problems have been fixed for beta 7 which currently has not been released to test team yet.
I (and a small handful) currently have in our hands a17 (the 17th build) or what is to become beta 7. All I can say is that it is in great shape and that once this becomes beta 7 (in a matter of hours hopefully), then it won't be long until it is released (first to supporters and then to public).
In parallel, I am working on updating the documentation and we are also working on changing the CB Team plugins to support CB 1.2 natively (otherwise J 1.5.X compatibility would not be true for these CB plugins). So far we have finished CB Captcha 2.0 (to be released to doc subscribers as before), CB Profilebook, CB Autowelcome and CB Gallery (still in progress).
CB 1.2 is a giant step for us - its not just a J 1.5 compatible suite. It has great potential because of the many core enhancements and API extensions. Nick A. This is fantastic news. Like the many other CB users, I am really excited about CB 1.2.
You guy's need a massive thank you for your efforts from all of us. I only wish all of my Joomla components had so many test hours put in before release.
I am currently working on a major re-write of one of my components. This component relies heavily on CB, so I am waiting with baited breath to review the changes.
Again, thanks to all for the work put in, may be you should think about adding a pay-pal donation link on your site. I know you already have many document subscribers, but with such a major refresh, some of us may like to give a little extra.
Best regards
Gary

To all with the same question and have not read all the information available in this thread.
I have deduced by careful reading and comprehension that...
(1.) People will get CB 1.2 when they get it. (2.) You will get it faster if you PAY MONEY and are a doc subscriber.
Till then, you wait and be happy about other things in life.

You can also get things earlier if you are helpful on the forums - this is also supporting.
However, most chose to read what they want to read ...
Beat and I have been rewarding forum helpers by giving them free complimentary subscriptions to documentation. We don't publicize its enough but it happens!
Am i right that i can get 1.2 now if i pay for it? If yes where can i buy it or pay the money and how much?
Best regards
