The quick fix is removing this line in com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbcore/cb.core.php :
$params->loadSetupFile(JApplicationHelper::getPath( 'com_xml', 'com_users' ));
and changing this : $params =& $juser->getParameters();
to : $params =& $juser->getParameters(true);
