Really sorry about that. I have never used myphpadmin before and wasnt sure what to do.
It was all straight forward and now everything works.

thx for your great work!

Well, I found it does not work with SEF mode.I used the patch from joomlatwork.com and joomla's SEO and Rewrite setting.

For more details:

1.When I turn off 'Search Engine Friendly URLs' in global configurations, everything goes fine
2. When the setting of 'Search Engine Friendly URLs' turns on, I can not open any message in the inbox.The urls seems wrong. For example,the link before SEF is 'http://www.mydomain.con/index.php?option=com_uddeim&task=show&Itemid=0&messageid=2' ,after SEF the link is 'http://www.mydomain.com/?task=show&messageid=2' instead of right form 'http://www.mydomain.com/component/uddeim/?task=show&messageid=2'

I've read the code of inbox.php but found nothing usefull to slove it.So hope some help or advise.

Just upgraded to 1.5.2 and it works fine.
