Hmmm, not really. Captchas are working fine here. uddeIM uses the same file for public users and registered users. So maybe its a problem with the session id?

Maybe the font cannot be found:
Please try to change
var $font = 'monofont.ttf';
to
var $font = './monofont.ttf';
in captcha(15).php

I have an error..
Installed Joomla 1.0.15
I try to install uddeIM 1.4 , and when I install com_uddeim14.zip I see next:
