Actually I was thinking the same.
Is there any est. time for when the stable will be out?
If it is a matter of few weeks, I guess we can wait till the stable release, if it is a matter of 2-4 weeks, I guess we should work with RC3 .
Thanks

See the Article on the front page. It sounds like you're willing to wait that long. Jamie Rapunzl Reminisces Owner and Website Administrator / Community Builder and Groupjive Team Member and Moderator _______________________________________________________ Want to speed up the release of CB 1.2 Plugins? Before posting, please read CB 1.1 Bugs stickies or CB 1.2 Identified Issues and the FAQs and Search the forum and the Web for your error. If not found, post Joomla, CB, PHP, Database and Browser versions, along with the exact error you are getting and results. Fewer posts for the developers to sift through will result in faster releases!
If you're looking for CB plugins, try the Downloads section, Directory (new) section or Joomla Community Builder-specific extensions and check the extension developers site for plans to integrate or plugins that already integrate CB 1.2. Also, if you find other requests already posted, please just add your request to the thread instead of creating a new one. Thanks!

Which version should I use for a new site? There are about 100 cb-extensions listed on joomla.org
http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,listcats/cat_id,1854/Itemid,35/
Am I right, that the most are made for 1.1? So is it better to work with this version for now? Would upgrading be easy if 1.2 stable is out?
Soory for such nooby-questions.

CB 1.2 is compatible with most older extensions. The only problem that comes into play is when you try to utilize the older plugins with Joomla 1.5 native mode or trying to use old mambots, which aren't supported by 1.5. Enable legacy and CB 1.2 uses it only when needed, so your newer extensions run without legacy even when legacy is enabled.

My knowledge of setting up a website would fit in a thimble with room left over. I have just installed Joomla 1.5 and 1.2 RC3 and I had NO problems!! The directions for 1.2 RC3 were absolutely the best! It didn't take a rocket scientist. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
