Salton City Currently has 2000 new homes and there are 1100 new homes under construction. Salton City is exploding with growth with the new Torrez-Martinez Casino scheduled to be opened by Febuary 2007, and the Salton Sea Authority is getting closer to making the final descision on the future of the Salton Sea. There is a lot of Contreversey on the clean up of the sea, well what we do know is that it will be done , because of the enviromental disaster that will happen if the sea is not cleaned or sustained. Salton City is the last city to develop in the valley. All the streets are paved and utilities are in place. With construction at full force its only a matter of time till it all comes together. If you have land in Salton City already you should hold on to it and buy more. Once the 19,000 lots are built, the cost of developing new lots will be five time the amount it will cost you to purchase one now. With all the demand for housing in Southern California , affordable land is beyond reach for many Californians , Salton City gives the investor a chance to buy land and homes at a low price with room to grow. FACT: Casinos Drive Exploding Real Estate Markets. Did you know that if you would have purchased an R1 single family residence lot in Temecula before the casino was built, it would have cost you $25,000.00, but if you bought that same lot TODAY, it would cost you 10 TIMES that price! A lot around the Morongo Tribe's Casino would have cost you $4000.00 back then and now $65,000. In 2005 Imperial County planning/Development issued 661 new permits and Salton Community Services District issued 790 new sewer connections. 90% of lots in salton city have water and sewer to the property already. Experts say that Coachella Valley and Salton City are the only "developer freindly" lands left in Southern California with an expected growth over the next 25 years to 1 million residents. Salton City is a half hour drive from Coachella Valley making it an easy commute and an ideal bedroom community. There are thousands of off-roaders who frequent this area during the winter time. The Salton Community Services District expects the population to reach at least 27,000 residents within 3 years. The Torrez-Martinez Casino is opening soon and already have a travel center with a new Subway Sandwich Restaurant and is fully operational at this time. California's land is at its highest price ever, the only areas to make good on your money is to think ahead.
