Joomla/Mambo Community Builder

The Community Builder suite extends the Joomla! and Mambo website user management systems and allows to manage those users.

Key features include: extra fields in profile, enhanced registration workflows, user lists, connection paths between users, admin defined tabs and user profiles, image upload, front-end workflow management, integration with other components, like PMS, Newsletter, Forum, Galleries.
 
Very Nice ... except Print

I have no doubt that this is a very nice program. By all appearances it is actually the leading industry standard for Joomla. However, no matter what you call it, a program that must be paid for IS A COMMERCIAL PROGRAM and should not be listed as something free offered to Joomla users. I have no doubts that it is well worth the cost and will consider purchasing it once I get situated and have the capacity to pay electronically and have the money to spend. (While it may seem a pittance to some of you, to someone in a third world country who has nothing, it is a lot) This does look very nice ... except it SHOULD be listed as a commercial program if it comes with a price tag ... even if you do call it a simple thank you for s yearly subscription.

Great post, but you don't have to pay for anything. I've got a Community Builder site up and no components have been paid for. 
 
The component is free. The subscription gives you access to detailed documentation and you get the latest version of Community Builder a few months after those who have paid. 
 
So, its free, with non-essential, optional extras at a cost.

You need to be a registered member of Joomlapolis to download.

The latest release candidate of Community Builder is version 1.2 RC2, native for Joomla 1.0, 1.5 and Mambo.
It is available as "thank you" to all CB documentation subscribers at this time.
