Joomla/Mambo Community Builder

The Community Builder suite extends the Joomla! and Mambo website user management systems and allows to manage those users.

Key features include: extra fields in profile, enhanced registration workflows, user lists, connection paths between users, admin defined tabs and user profiles, image upload, front-end workflow management, integration with other components, like PMS, Newsletter, Forum, Galleries.

After months of waiting for the public release of CB 1.2 RC2, still nothing. joomla "evolution" to version 1.5 brought the compatibility issues that we all know. CB 1.1 compatibility in legacy mode is only usefull for testing, not for live websites. Is CB going comercial ? Pay the subscription to get the latest release - that looks like a comercial scheme.

Being a newbie on Joomla 1.5.6 and having been working with a team on a non-profit site, I was pointed towards CB. Non-commercial, it states. So I registered, only to find myself in a maze of a website, no where can the RC or whatever be found, unless one parts with money. I think it would help all of us not to waste time etc, if this was to be clear. Is CB there for 1.5.6, is it free of charge, or am I being lead along the garden path here. Am not impressed with this situation. And yes, I am helping an organisation out that wants to add its 6000 members into a system...

The latest stable Community Builder Release is version 1.1 for Joomla 1.0 and Mambo.
You need to be a registered member of Joomlapolis to download.

The latest release candidate of Community Builder is version 1.2 RC3, native for Joomla 1.0, 1.5 and Mambo.
