thanks

I recall that RC2 confirm links are different from RC1 confirm links. Maybe that's your problem ?

sorry for sounding stupid, but what difference does that make?
I've never had CB 1.0 RC1 installed, only ever RC2 - the above comments and code snippets are all RC2.

Never mind, i read to diagonally... Was catching up a week of forum activity here....wow...

I don't know what your problem might be with the little info that i have.

Only thing i can say is that it would look like 4.5.3 had changed the structure of the users table...

But I don't have 4.5.3 installed, and don't want to support more than 4.5.0-4.5.2+Joomla in my little free time. Maybe somebody else can help you for free or for paid work.

fair enough - to be honest I don't want to be doing this myself for free in my spare time either!:P

anyway - the tables look absolutely fine - I know SQL pretty well, just relatively new to PHP - but I can follow the logic and it looks OK to me.......there must be something obvious I'm missing

does anyone know if MySQL MD5 function is exactly the same as the md5 PHP function?

cheers then
C

I just discovered that confirmcode (the md5 value) is being returned from mosGetParam as 0

not sure why....changing the call to the confirm function in comprofiler.php as follows solved it

confirm( $_GET );

Hi, I am new here, and I dont know what do change, but it seems, that whenever someone registers, the problem persists, and error message "Your account is not yet active. Please check your email and follow the instructions to complete the registration process."

Is there a fix to this yet?

Yes!

Use a supported cms platform and your troubles will go away.

In other words, update to joomla.

Hi there,

I have the same problem. When people click the confirmation link in their e-mail the get the message that they aren´t allowed to view the page. I have Mambo 4.5.2.3 and CB RC2. I I hope you will find a solution that works for Mambo 4.5.2.3 as well - I cannot update to Joomla at the moment. This is a huge problem. I running a live site. Is there a fix?
