hello

On JoomlaPolis, i can't change my password in the front-end (update profile).
i have a javascript alert "I use the following platforms This field is required!" (exactly).

I have FireFox 1.06.
I have the same error with Internet Explorer latest.

Hmmm,
I just tried it on a test account on this site and had no problems using IE 6.0. Will try later with FF.

Silexian,
I just realized the problem you are having.
A new cb field has been added to our profiles here on this website. It located on the Joomlapolitan Card tab and its a multiselect drop down field titled: I use the following platforms (were you can select one or more of Mambo 4.5.0.x, etc).
This field is mandatory so what is happening is that if you try to change your password and press update you are getting an error because this mandatory field is empty!
Looks wierd but its not a bug.

by the way, i realized i should have reported that bug into Joomlaforge.

I think there is a "loss of energy".
Today there is 3 website where we can post.
You'd better rationalize the websites.
Because the informations may be dilued into several sites.
Hope to see mambojoe.com closed as soon as possible and have a clearer view about joomlapolis and Joomlaforge (comments of users into joomlapolis, ok. And bugs at best reported into Joomlaforge, instead of joomlapolis, but many people won't do that.... well you'll have to think about that ;):whistle: :whistle:

Yes, didn't expect such field names!

So in next release, changed error text (example):
"I use the following platforms This field is required!" (exactly).

into:
"I use the following platforms : This field is required!" (exactly).

A ":" which might help understand the error message!

btw. www.mambojoe.com is for CB RC1. Support there will be closed when RC2 goes released to public... but the site will remain open as RC1 knowledgebase.

i didn't realized this was REALLY a mandatory field.
that message didn't sound "familiar" to me (like an error that leads to a message not well formed or so). Well.
