Hello,

I think I found a strange BUG while creating a small custom plug-in for my site.
I was just testing if my plug-in's CSS is working correctly in both FF and IE.

My Setup: PHP5+MySQL5+Joomla 1.0.15+CB1.2.1

Follow these STEPs:

1. In Firefox 3.5 login as USER1.
2. then Visit - My profile (/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&Itemid=40)

You will see USER1's Profile page.

3. Now open IE 7.0 and login as USER2.
4. then Visit - My profile (/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&Itemid=40)

You will see USER2's Profile page.

4b. reload this page several times (pressing F5)

5. Get back to Firefox and hit My profile or refresh the already opened i]My profile[/i] page.

A STRANGE thing -

o Page TITLE says its profile of USER2 ! (conformed)
o [OPTIONAL] my plug-in is fetching field-data of USER2 !
(But I am watching USER1)

:(

I am facing this bug both in my live site and in my lan setup. Pls conform if you also faced it.

Joomla 1.0 is now obsolete and no longer supported by Joomla. Have you considered upgrading to 1.5? The issue may not exist then.

Actually I have a custom digg like component I which build through a local freelancer.
It works with Joomla 1.0.15, but don't work in Joomla1.5 even if 'Legacy mode' ON.

So, stucked with Joomla 1.0.15.

Sounds like a caching issue. Purge browser cache and disable Joomlas caching system.

But I can't disable the Joomla Cache permanently as it could slow my site.

BTW, why only the TITLE (and my custom field-data) is wrong  If 'cache problem' then it should be the entire page that should be wrong/messed !!!

I don't know, Joomlas caching system is unreliable. If something needs caching the code should handle that. Don't let Joomla handle caching or you could run into many unexpected results.

Disable it to see if it resolves the issue.
