Password/Username reminder send button behavior

14 years 5 months ago #116882 by th13
The submit button in password/username reminder page remains disabled if a user uses auto-complete to fill username and/or email fields.
If a user enter these fields manually then send-username/send-password button show up correctly.
I tested the same scenario on this site and the behavior is the same.
My temporarily workaround is to disable auto-complete for these fields to force user to enter these fields manually.
What I don't understand is, since a user is already required to use the check box to choose between send username or send password, why depends on input fields instead of the already-chosen checkbox to decide which button to show?

Button changes based on values on input box, but is trigger with onkeyup/onkeypress... it's required for a user to type something in the inputs.

I noticed that my Send Username/Password button was disabled . After I read this post I realized that I had just enabled auto-complete in Firefox and that was my problem.

I would like to included a warning on the lost password page. I would be ever so grateful if you will tell me where I can find the text for that page.

Thanks,

You can adjust the messages displayed on the Forgotten pages via CBs language files by adjusting the strings as necessary. Please see components/com_comprofiler/plugin/language/default_language/.
