You do not have a typical Joomla installation. When I tried to see what was different, the system kicked me out, and I ended up on the front end, unable to log in again.

I recommend a clean Joomla installation before trying to install CB, as something is almost definitely changing core aspects of Joomla. Even the administrator menu options are different.

Try again.. I think it kicked you out cause I logged in when you logged in and kicked me out. :P I won't touch it for a while.

I already did and was able to get in. Still, it is not a conventional Joomla install. Even the administrator icons are different. My recommendation remains the same: Try with a clean installation, or at least uninstall any extension that may be changing core Joomla functions.

lol... I changed the icon pictures manually myself.. I used the core installation, and I'm pretty sure I don't have any modules that have changed any of the core Joomla functions. But okay, I'll disable everything, and try the install and report back.

I found the probably problem... noixACL. It does make changes to Joomla's ACL and you can probably find other threads relating to this problem, here on JP.
