Example:
During registration, a user is asked to enter "Company Name" . There will be an option to restrict this info to just registered members or to public too. i.e. some members will choose to let the public view his/her "Company Name", while others don't wish to.

Been searching for a plugin/workaround in vain. Is CBSubs the solution? The conditional fields plugins mentioned in this forum seem to be tackling a different situation.

Appreciate any help.

Hi Nick

I must have overlooked an obvious step.

Now, when a member chooses a field to be "invisible on profile", this field is not visible to logged-in registered members too, both in the userlist and the profile containing the field.

The desired effect I'm trying to achieve: when a member chooses a field to be invisible on profile the field should be invisible to public but visible to logged-in members. (of course when visible is selected, both public logged-in members can view that field.)

In the CB Privacy plugin, under Privacy Granularity settings, I notice there is a setting to propose "Only to registered users" but I cant seem to get this to work.

Thanks for any tips.

invisible on profile

This will hide the field entirely from the profile; registered users won't be able to see the field with this setting. Please use the following.

Only to logged-in users

Edit CB Privacy in Plugin Management and ensure you've set Only to registered users: to Proposed (Proposed is default).
