[SOLVED] New Group missing category selection was created by Roland
Hello,

I just installed groupjive and so I had less groups.

To make it as easy as possible I don't want to show the categories for groups first, so I have only a menue link with &action=groups&func=all

If I go now an "Create Group" the formular opens and in the line of category there is only a info text like (Please save the group in the category before you choose a parent group" - sorry is translatet from German...

Now I can't save the group because Groupjive says to choose a category. But there is no selcetion-field to choose it.

Even though you don't use the category displays you still need to have categories. You also provided no versions; Joomla version? CB version? GJ version? Latest GJ is 2.6.1.

Hello Krileon,

ahh - I had 2.6.0 RC. After installing 2.6.1 everything works fine.

It seems you are fast in programming as I'm in updating... ;-)
