Change/delete fields possible?

Hello
I have a form that manage some users. I just discover CB and it is doing what I need. I juste have 2 questions:
- I try to delete some fields, I don't need some, like those related to forum, the x fileds related to name (forst, last, ...) as I only need one, ... But I have a message "system field" so I am not able to delete them.
Is it possible to delete the fiels directly in phpMyAdmin with no risk ?
- In case this first option is not possible, it is possible to change some fieald, that ar "published" to "unpublished"?

You shouldn't delete the fields in the database. Just unpublish them.

You can not remove core fields, they are not deletable for a reason. Edit them and set them to not show on profile. If you delete them via database you will destroy your installation and have to re-install or run CB tools in an attempt to fix the deleted fields (will be too late for their content as that will be lost for good).
