Facebook integration will always push an invalid email when a new user registers. Asking for a users email results in a rather annoying pop-up. It was opted to provide an invalid email rather then slamming users with pop-ups until they provide access to their emails (proven to drive traffic FROM your site instead of TO).Hi it is really essential that the right user email is saved to the database when a user registers through facebook connect. Didn't facebook allow user emails to be available as well recently? Why is this not available with the plug in? Will that be possible in a recent update?
thanks

Reading this it makes me think of a possible problem for welcome messages and other site communication.
We have the welcome message plugin installed to send an e-mail with info to the new user.
Will this plugin be triggered when someone new comes on through the facebook connect?
I would like it that this would not be triggered and only triggered when a valid e-mail address is entered by the user. (but then again not when a normal registered user changes his e-mail address on a later date; no retrigger)
Further we have Kunena forum installed and users receive updates on replies on post they've made. Ofcourse to their e-mail address.
Anyone have an idea on how to work this out?
thx

Is it possible to allow a user to connect his/her Facebook account only AFTER registering on my CB site and authenticating their email?
Or to authenticate their email through CB after registering through FB Connect?
If either of these are possible (easy), I don't care about their Facebook email.
