I can't publish or unpublish an entry if the backend settings require my review prior to post. Auto post is fine and all other options, edit, delete etc work. all configuration of the plugin and tab allow for public postings.

Don't understand the issue. Appears to be working as intended. If profile owner review is enabled then posts won't publish without the the profile owner first reviewing them.

Review is enabled, and the link for publish after reviewing is there but when I select publish I get a done with error message and it won't post. If I allow posting without review it will post but then the unpublish link won't work when selected?

What is the error message? Did you enable debug mode and maximum error reporting in Joomlas global configuration then attempt to post and review any on-screen error? If no on-screen error review server error logs. Please see help us help you within my signature on how to properly debug and structure your post for further assistance.
