I see you've editted your post. But to answer your question you must first unzip the package first after downloading it to get the individual plugins.

the 6 digit color code did the trick. without it, I had the same problem in ie.

Am I not installing something,
Running Joomla 1.13 CB 1.1

I have a few other things installed but I don't think they would have anything to do with it.
