I have this component installed, however nothing will save!

It installed properly, and created the /usercss directory. I go in and edit something, and there are no files saved to that directory! I go back and edit, and nothing has been saved, and there were no error messages.

also color picker not working for me in IE 7 or FF 2.0.0.2

did you check the usercss directorys chmod?

I hope I can solve the colorpicker problem this week.

folder permissions are 777, so is the $mosConfig_live_site folder.

usercss I have tried as the joomla owner (nobody) and the ftp user as owner, no luck.

I had also tried changing your code from CTMBASEPATH.'../../../../../usercss to $mosConfig_live_site.'/usercss and still, no luck.

SWEET!! I have it working

The thing is, however, that I had to use the customize.php version that mikko uploaded and not the one found with this package.

I am not using template switching, however, so I am unsure where the bug is.

sorry to keep bugging you, however I have a nice feature request...

I would like to see a line of code that I could put on other pages to display that user's CSS... for example:

Message Forum User Profile Pages
User Home Pages 2 pages

I am sure there are more... so what would be the php I would need to test and include the user's css? The user's id variable is $user->id
