well it would have to be in the main component, so....

unfortunately, not all software authors are as giving with ideas.

ive been trying to test the connection announcer, its difficult, there are 7 or 8 places to tie in on that system. i put it to announce on connection accepted.

To use the connection announce your CB must be set to use connections and require mutual concent. the announcer will announce upon the 2nd user approving the connections. mutual connection is not required.

the login and logout will need to be handled by mod_cb_login or the module you use should have cb event triggers embedded.

One more suggestion would be to have it link to the users profile when their name is displayed.

You could easily modify this to be used as a newsfeed for the members' activities in your friends (connections) group, like on facebook.

well the problem with links in shoutbox is the code doesnt work right with links. if you put a link in the shoutbox it messes with the display.

i will play with the code a bit and see what i can do.

well, ive gotten an idea the shout would look like

SYSTEM: Steveometer <<link>> has accepted a connection from sstark <<link>>

the way shoutbox handles a url is it finds http:// and replaces it with the <<link>> abd makes that clickable to whatever url was entered
