Wow! Completely bombs Joomla/CB!!!

Is the phpBB shown in "mainBody" of the template? Or in a new browser-window? And my last question. Is there a link to CB-Profile in phpBB (viewposts) and UddeIM PM-System?

I have installed the mail2forum mod on phpBB which breaks phpBB Connector. The specific code involved is in common.php:

Not sure I exactly understand your last post...

When you say it completely bombs Joomla/CB what do you mean?

The answer to your question about whether phpBB shows up in the main body or a new window depends on how you setup the link to it... use wrapper it shows up in the mainbody... use URL link it shows up in a new window

Also not sure about your last question... Is there a link to CB-Profile in phpBB (viewposts) and UddeIM PM-System?

We do nothing with UddeIM and we don't hack phpBB to make its profile button go to CB.

I think I will probably need more info to help you diagnose the problem... the connector does include the following files from phpBB..

include_once($phpbb_root_path . 'extension.inc');
include_once($phpbb_root_path . 'common.'.$phpEx);

Note the first file just defines the $phpEx...

So It does use common.php... but it mainly uses the sessions.php file which is included into common.php...

After reading a bit about M2F is sounds very interesting... thanks for pointing out this mod... PM me and I will let you know how to send me a copy of your common.php file... also just send me some basic stats on your software setup...

OK Greg,

I followed the instructions in the manual, here's the results:

a)I believe I installed everything correctly but don't see how login pass through to phpbb, or how to transfer/export my current login.
b)I used wrapper to connect to phpbb. How do I make them blend into the same look? Template for phpbb that matches Joomla?
c)Where in the Control Panel can I see phpbb connection?
d)2.8 CB Login never says to publish it, but I did anyway. And deactivated the other.

Need a little more help, but almost there... And so far its been easy!

Yes you need to publish the cb login and unpublish the Joomla one..

Logins will happen automatically for sync'd users... For existing users...

1) Login to the admin backend
2) From the menus go to Components - Community Builder - Plugin Management
3) Then from that list of plugins click on the title for phpBB Connector
4) From there click on 'Control Panel'
5) From the new window you can explore the various tabs for import/export... check the ones you want (or the top checkbox to select them all) and push the button (for import or export)

That is it...
