If time is money (and it is), then CBSubs costs a lot less than trying to create and manage a cloned version of CB. Sorry this isn't as productive statement as some might think, but I'm gettting a head ache just thinking about maintaining a cloned version, never mind all my 3pd components/modules/cb plugins knowing which itemID to use when linking to specific profiles.

It's a recap of what others have said already, but I think CBSubs is the most economical and time-saving solution... the only solution worth considering for such a scenario.
