I got this error:
Community Builder 1.9.1 on a 1.5 Joomla
(I know it’s old but the client want to keep it for another year before investing in a new site.

Something is already defining that language string. Looks like a problem with your French language plugin maybe double defining it. No idea as we don't use defines anymore in CB 2.x except for a handful of legacy strings.
