No 404 anymore

Hi Community,

There's no way to get a 404 error page anymore.

When a user calls an unexisting page, he doesn't see the 404 error page but. Joomla sends directly the "HTTP/1.1 200 OK" reply with the message "Thanks to connect or register to see or modify your profile".

When a connected user calls the same page, he gets the same 200 code and see the content of his user profile page, with modules that should only be displayed on the homepage. That's weird.

I didn't try to setup my own error page: no <error.php> file in my template and I didn't modify the <templates/system/error.php> file.

No special rewrite rule in my .htaccess.

No SEO extension (sh404sef, AceSEF...)

When I disable Community Builder, everything works fine: I see the 404 page.

When I enable CB and disable the CB plugins I can (all but language, templates and CB Core), the bug is here.

Config:
* Joomla 3.5.1
* Community Builder 2.0.14

Do you have any idea of what I could do to get a 404 page when necessary?

Hi

I don`t know if that will fix the problem but bear in mind that it is highly recomended to:
- Turn off Joomla registrations
- Turn off Joomla emails to new users

In other words there might be a conflict if both Joomla and CB Users are activated.

Read more about that in Primer Book

That does not seem to be a CB message, that is why I suggested to read instructions of configuration.

And that

When a connected user calls the same page, he gets the same 200 code and see the content of his user profile page, with modules that should only be displayed on the homepage. That's weird.

shows that there is a conflict

Thanks for the Primer Book, that's the manual I missed, especially for the tabs positions (and some other points).

I didn't find how to turn off Joomla emails to new users (I found how to turn off Joomla emails to administrator when somebody subscribes.) So I didn't change this setting.

When I turn off Joomla registrations, the bug is unfortunately the same.

Instructions found here

To turn off the Joomla emailing, you need to:

Go to Extensions → Plugin Manager page.
Search and locate the User - Joomla! plugin
Edit the plugin to set the Notification Mail to User parameter to No.
Save & Close.

Hope it helps
