Hi All,
I'm just playing around with Community Builder to see if it will be suitable for a new website I'm developing.
The purpose of CB for this website is for a company to display their team of service providers.
I've noticed that the alt tags on each person's profile picture display their full name (regardless of settings), and also, the URL of the profile seems to be made up their registered email address, e.g. domain_name_here/userprofile/57-lisalovescleaning-yahoo-com?Itemid=545.
Is there anyway to switch alt tags off, and also alter the URL to something less revealing?

The profile URL includes the username. If someone set their username to their email address then yes it will include it except made URL safe. You can set the alias field to be displayed on registration and profile edit then make it required to force them to supply their own profile url alias. As for the name in the alt of the avatar image it's based off whatever name format you set within CB > Configuration > General.
