Registration form validation and CB Subs question

3 years 3 months ago - 3 years 3 months ago #322280 by llau
Hi there,

We have a CB registration form that contains 2 email fields and want to prevent users from registering using 2 identical email addresses.

Is it possible to do this without using the CB Code Field plugin, and instead using the CB Query field using the query:
SELECT `email` from `j25_users` WHERE '[email]' = '[value]'

or do we need to do it another way?

Also, currently we have some Joomla articles and menu items which are dynamically created, but it seems we need to manually add these to the content access in the CB Subscriptions plan. Is there an easier way to do this?

Thanks in advance!

Only way would be with CB Code Field and its Code Validation. The Query Validation won't be able to help here since nothing has been stored in the database yet to query against.

but it seems we need to manually add these to the content access in the CB Subscriptions plan. Is there an easier way to do this?

Put them in a category and protect access to the entire category.

Thanks Krileon.

Actually I did create a "members only" content category and protected it, but it seems that I have to add the content pages to the "read by content" section as well as the "By menu" section the menu items associated to the content to the plan?

If I just use the "read by content category" by itself and leave the read by content and by menu blank, it doesn't allow access for some reason.
I'm not sure I understand the logic here.

Thanks,
V

I cannot help you with CB Paid Subscriptions without an active subscription for CB Paid Subscriptions, sorry. Topic moved out of pre-sales.
