[SOLVED] Change language in CB using Joomla 1.6

[SOLVED] Change language in CB using Joomla 1.6 was created by reintjan
I installed Joomla 1.6, installed CB 1.3.1 and from there installed plugin for Dutch language.

Now I see the Dutch language as a plugin installed in CB but there's no way to make it the default language.

Someone who knows how to do this?

I've been searching around on the internet looking how to solve this.

If i'm right CB should come up with Dutch language automaticly after i installed the plugin and set default language of my Joomla site to Dutch.

Can anyone confirm this?

If so, it's not working in Joomla 1.6

Did some more research:

The tag <BackwardLang> is not in use anymore in language files ini in Joomla 1.6 So CB cannot find the proper language when i select Dutch to standard.

This is a bug in CB.

I had the same problem.

This problem can be solved by changing the language name in the (in this case) dutch language file, nl-NL.xml.

#CHANGE
<metadata>
  <name>Dutch (The Netherlands)</name>
</metadata>

#INTO
<metadata>
  <name>dutch</name>
</metadata>

Now CB 1.3.1 for Joomla 1.6 can resolve the right language.

If i'm correct you mean the nl-NL.xml file of the Joomla language file? Do I also need to change this on the admin side in file nl_NL.xml?

Yes, indeed that file, I corrected in the previous post.

It also works for the administrator side.
