Hi folks ...
I have established a membership based website using Community Builder as the basis. I'm running into the issue whereby a family would like to have each member log into the website, however I can't use a duplicate email address.
Yes, I've explained that a unique email address is needed, and they are free. Also I've tried utilizing the workaround joomlapolis offers, with email alias, but that doesn't work for most email providers.
Is anyone doing anything different to deal with this? Is there some other way that can be suggested? Is there an add-on that would help??
I haven't found any suggestions in my searches.

Username and Email Address are strictly enforced as unique. There is no workaround for this as it's enforced in Joomla at the user store level. The only workaround for email address is the alias usage as follows.
EMAILADDRESS+ALIAS@DOMAIN
So you could have the following.
testing+tom@domain
testing+bob@domain
testing+jane@domain
All should send emails to testing@domain. There's no other solution than that beyond modifying Joomla, which I do not recommend as every extension is built with the understanding that email address and username are expected to be unique.
