CB Guest Online shows excessive number of guests

CB Guest Online shows excessive number of guests was created by roneydaniel
Hi Experts,
The "Who's online" module shows excessive number of visitors intermittently. I do not expect more than 10 users at any given time however I see hundreds of guests as per the module. I was wondering how I could track what is happening. The website is very slow sometimes and I am trying to figure if its some hacking activity or a buggy module on the website.

We don't have a "Who's online" module. That's Joomlas module. We have a CB Online module that shows various statistics where guests are just _session rows with userid set to 0. My guess is Joomlas does the same.
