Gallery contents display and privileges

6 years 11 months ago #293498 by staal
Helo everybody.
I have a question about the GALLERY item.
I need to have the TAB Gallery displayed as "public", i.e. any visitor to the site can see the word GALLERY in the user profile canvas.
But when (s)he clicks on the GALLERY ITEM in the canvas I need to see the wording that the gallery content are accessble only to registered users.
So far I could not find a way out combining the tabs and fields setup.
Is it possibile? If so, can you help?

Regards

Move the gallery tab to a not shown on profile position. Next create a new tab and title it Gallery then add a gallery field to it followed by setting its Asset to "profile". Next for the fields layout override parameters you can use the below to condition the galleryes display for the profile value layout.

[cb:if user="#me" user_id>"0"][value][cb:else]Please login or register to view this gallery.[/cb:else][/cb:if]

See the below tutorial for further substitution usage information if you want to adjust the conditions further.
