A new registered user can't see the profile of other old users

My old users all have some kinds of connections so they can see other's profile. Also I used CB Privacy Rule.

However, a new user just registered, he has no access to view the profile of any of the old users.

My configuration is as below:
1. CB configuration→User Profile→Profile View Access Level: Registered

2. CB Privacy:
I enabled the privacy of : "User", "Connections" and "Connection Type".

I want a registered user can view the profile of other registered users. How should I do about this?

Are you using the Profile Privacy field? Sounds like you changed the default privacy rule causing all profiles to be protected by default. I believe in another topic this was changed to default to Connections. Edit the Profile Privacy field in CB > Field Management and change its specific default to User.

In fact, I changed this setting below, then the users profile became visible to other users. It was "Disable". After I changed it to "Enable", the new user can see others profiles.

However, I don't understand why. Would you please clarify for me? Would this have any other effect?

Also, I checked Field Management→Profile Privacy→Parameter. However, I didn't see a Privacy Tab with a default option. Instead I saw a Rule tab like below:

Is it what you are mentioning?

You've just turned off the Profile Privacy fields ability to block direct access to profiles.

Also, I checked Field Management→Profile Privacy→Parameter. However, I didn't see a Privacy Tab with a default option. Instead I saw a Rule tab like below:

Edit Profile Privacy within CB > Field Management and under Parameters > Display > Display change the Default. It is likely set to be "Same as Global" and you set the global to Connections in another topic. Either change the global default back to something all users can access (e.g. Users or Public) or change it specifically for the Profile Privacy field.

Yes, on my default option my setting is "Same as Global" but I don't have any choice like "public" or "user". It seems I have solved my problem. All user can see each others' profile now.

Because you've turned off those privacy rules.

It seems I have solved my problem.

What has? Changing the globals to allow Users or Public?
